It's clear that good progress is still being made on our massive renovation project. Here is what architect Charles Hendricks had to say yesterday:
- Project Fresh Air continues to show great progress. The demolition is complete and systems and finish materials are being installed. The majority of the new heating and cooling systems on the interior of the building are in place and ductwork is being installed. Drywall repairs are in process in the sanctuary where cuts were made for system installations. The office wing is getting final touches to ready that space for ELC to move back into the building August 30th. On the exterior of the building landscaping has been removed to allow for new mechanical units to be placed. The new roofing installation is almost complete as well. A change from the original design - Herr & Co. has proposed a solution to install a finish roof under the steeple structure which results in saving the steeple.
