Faith Formation
At Park View, we value biblical training, spiritual nurture, and intellectual stimulation that happens in our Sunday programs. we believe Christian education is important for all ages - from our youngest children to our oldest adults. Those who attend worship on Sunday morning services tend to agree. Over 70% participate in a class.
Faith formation at Park View Mennonite Church aims to deepen our faith through study of scripture, conversations with each other, and education from church elders, theologians, and scholars. We have many programs for adults, children, and those in between. Our Faith Formation program offers a large variety of styles and subjects for everyone and specific classes or group activities for children 3 and older. We also offer a community Men's Bible Study for those looking to delve deeper into scriptures. For junior and senior high youth we have active Mennonite Youth Fellowship (MYF), and Junior Youth Fellowship (JYF) groups.
In addition to any formal education that happens, Faith Formation classes fill a need for fellowship, friendship, and care-giving. Each youth and adult class has a designated class care-giver who helps ensure that class members support each other in times of need. Classes often plan fellowship activities beyond Sunday morning. Information on our Adult Faith Formation Program can be found here.
Nursery Care is provided for infants (through age 2) so that parents can attend their own Sunday school class.
We also welcome college-aged adults and seek to include them in various aspects of congregational life.
