In-Person Worship Protocol
(Last updated March 15, 2022 by PVMC COVID Discernment Team)
PROTOCOL FOR IN-PERSON WORSHIP:
If the protocol above makes physical attendance difficult for you, please remember our multiple ways to participate in our worship remotely:
- For limiting spread of all viruses, face masks are always a good choice, and will always be welcomed at PVMC.
- When both Harrisonburg and Rockingham County are at low or medium Community Level (indicated by green or yellow), masking when indoors will be optional, and always welcomed.
- When either Harrisonburg or Rockingham County moves into the high Community Level (orange), masks will be required during worship and other indoor church gatherings.
- The angled section on the west side of the sanctuary (in front of the sound board), will remain reserved for physically-distanced seating, and mask-wearing will be requested for that section. The remainder of the sanctuary will have open seating.
- If you have suspicious symptoms, or recent positive COVID test or exposure, we continue to request that you not attend in person.
- Pastors and elders will continue to wear face masks when serving communion, or when greeting at the doors, in order to provide maximum safety and comfort for all.
- We ask attendees to still keep a face-mask on their person (pocket or purse) whenever attending church events. Two reasons: (1) you may be in close interaction with another person, and discover they are uncomfortable or request you to mask, and you will want to respect their wishes, and (2) you may prefer to wear a mask during congregational singing, even if not everyone else is masked.
If the protocol above makes physical attendance difficult for you, please remember our multiple ways to participate in our worship remotely:

- Radio broadcast live on WEMC 91.7 FM (Sunday morning only)
