Online weekly Morning Prayers

We are holding once-weekly Tuesday morning prayers, in the style of our weekly morning prayers in the office. We follow a simple prayer liturgy (see it here) drawn from an Anabaptist prayer book and a Celtic prayer resource. It includes a psalm reading, a Gospel reading, and open spaces for offering sentence prayers or simply sitting in silence. A pastor, elder, or staff member will lead this over Zoom. Participants can either join as silent participants, or help with readings and prayers if they wish.
A pastor, staff member, or elder will lead this prayer time. Attendees who wish will have opportunity to offer prayers, or reading scriptures.
PLEASE LOOK FOR A WEEKLY EMAIL from the church office for invitation links to these prayers.
For added security, these are password-embedded links only available to those receiving the emails.

If you are new to Zoom, here are some simple instructions: At the time for the meeting (or ahead of time) just click the meeting link above. If you have used Zoom before on your computer or mobile device, the Zoom app will launch automatically. If this is your first Zoom session, it will ask you to install a Zoom app or client. Answer "yes" when prompted to install or launch.
If you want further tips on Zoom use, here is an informative video lesson prepared by local Harrisonburg pastor Alex Zuber at Muhlenberg Lutheran:
