Obituary

Donald “Lee” Moyer, 86, a resident of Harrisonburg, passed away on Friday, March 6, 2026.

Mr. Moyer was born on September 7, 1939 in Montgomery County, PA and was a son of the late Granville Grover Moyer and Ella Yoder Johnson Moyer. Donald was a life long meat cutter working for Hatfield Quality Meats and Moyer Meats. He enjoyed volunteering with Care and Share in Souderton, PA and Gift and Thrift upon moving to the Harrisonburg Area. He enjoyed hunting, bowling, golfing and spending time with his family whom he loved dearly. He was a member of Park View Mennonite Church.

On March 31, 1962, he married Marie Irene Klementisz Moyer who survives.

Also surviving is a daughter, Donna Louise Blosser; brother, Robert Glenn Moyer; grandchildren, Lucas Blosser, Nevin Blosser and wife Michaela, Perry Blosser, Joelle Blosser; and two great grandchildren, Liam Blosser and Hetti Blosser.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Moyer was preceded in death by a son, Donald Lee Moyer; and brother, Steven Jay Moyer and wife Diane; and a sister-in-law, Carole Moyer.

Following cremation, a memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 12, 2026, in the Memory Garden at Park View Mennonite Church. A reception will be held following the service for family and invited guests.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the VMRC Compassion Fund, 1491 Virginia Avenue, Harrisonburg, VA 22802.
