College Students

at Park View Mennonite Church

We love having college students worship with us at Park View. We know college is a time to spread your wings and try new things—church included. But don't neglect church as a place to draw spiritual strength when other things in life are shifting and the future is inclear.

What's happening at Park View that we think you'd like to know about?

Sunday School—We have a group of college students and young adults who meet every Sunday morning to explore faith issues together. This year's study is on setting priorities for the use of time, based on the book Time Warped.

Monthly Taizé worship services—every first Wednesday, 8:30-9:30 p.m. These lage-evening worship services focus on prayer—sung, spoken, and silent—and scripture readings and candlelight prayer around a cross. A good way to close out a grueling day of studying!

Fellowship meals happen throughout the year, some especially for college students and others for the whole congregation—some at Sunday noon and some on Wednesday evening.

We make a concerted effor to have individuals or families in the church invite you home for Sunday dinner, or get to know you in other informal ways.

An Adult choir practices weekly on Wednesday evenings, and presents their music at Sunday a.m. services. John Fast is director.

Small groups meet weekly in members' homes and are availble for interested students.

An e-mail list is maintained to get out the word about special events, like fellowship meals. To be added to our student e-mail list, send a message to office@pvmchurch.org.
